Valve details dates for Steam discounts and events for the first half of 2022

Valve has unveiled its reboot schedule for the first half of 2022. Start dates for certain events are also marked.

For example, Next Fest, the event in which hundreds of game demos are about to be released so they can be tried out for a limited time, will take place between February 21 and February 28, and will have a second edition already classic. mid-year, which will take place between June 23 and July 7, at the same time as the heavy summer showers.

In addition, Valve detailed several thematic reviews:

  • February 28 – March 7 – Remote Play Together (games that can be played cooperatively, remotely)
  • March 14-21 – JRPG

  • May 2-9-Die-a-lot (roguelites and Metroidvanias)
  • May 23-30 – Carreras

In addition to announcing discounts, Valve has also made some changes to how developers can set discount periods for their games:

  • You can make an introductory discount, but once it ends you can’t make any more offers for 28 days
  • You cannot return your product within the next 28 days at a lower price
  • You cannot download until 28 days after your last discount, except for Steam’s own events
  • You cannot modify the price of an offer when it is already valid
  • Unable to play a game at over 90% or under 10%
  • Personalized discounts cannot last more than two weeks or less than one day

Steam’s current Lunar New Year reboots will last until tomorrow.
