Ubisoft owns Blue Mammoth Games

Hi, Ubisoft announced the acquisition of the video game development studio Blue Mammoth game. With this acquisition, Ubisoft is working on free-to-play, Brawlhallathe currently most played wrestling game on Steam, and relive your online experience.

Headquartered near Atlanta, Georgia, Blue Mammoth Games is made up of 21 members, including founders Matthew Woomer and Lincoln Hamilton, who have a solid foundation in MMOs. The study developed and released Brawlhalla, a free 2D wrestling game that is among the best free games on PS4. Participation in Brawlhalla as a sport grew exponentially in its second season, and recently began its third year with electronic sporting events, including an association with Dreamhack for the Brawlhalla World Championship.

“The Blue Mammoth Games team is an expert in developing and performing high-speed, competitive, and multi-player online games and has a great connection to Ubisoft’s student network,” said Laurent Detoc, President of Ubisoft NCSA. “With Brawlhalla, we get a very popular and highly profitable title that is in line with our strategy of expanding our audience and giving players a long-lasting and entertaining gaming experience.”

It is expected that this acquisition of Blue Mammoth Games will increase Ubisoft’s profits immediately. The acquisition was completed on March 1, 2018. The additional terms of the agreement are not disclosed.
