Valve has announced that the first installment of Steam Deck consoles will begin shipping as early as February 25. That is to say: this is the date on which Steam will contact users who have reserved the first units of their mobile. The consoles will ship on February 28.
According to the official post, “customers will have 3 days (72 hours) to complete the purchase from the date they receive the email to initiate the cola order.”
Valve is also aiming to make it possible to purchase only the version of Steam Deck reserved for the time being; that is, it will not be possible to switch to a better (or worse) model than the chosen one.
