The Pokémon Company celebrates Pokémon Day with a week of announcements

The Pokémon Company has announced that it will be running a series of announcements throughout the week to celebrate Pokémon Day, which takes place on Sunday, February 27.

Tuesday will begin with Pokémon Sword and Shield news, which will follow with Pokémon Café Mix news on Wednesday, Pokémon Unite on Thursday, Pokémon P25 schedule on Friday, and Pokémon Go on Saturday.

Also, for Sunday, Pokémon Day, more announcements are expected. It is speculated, for example, with some type of announcement related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

We don’t know what to make of these ads, although they probably contain additional content in most cases. In the case of Sword and Shield, that’s probably not a big deal, given that the focus is currently on Arceus, and the previous game has already received two expansions since its launch in 2020. Arceus, at in turn, awaits a DLC with a new region.

As for Pokémon Go, the Go Tour: Johto event will take place on Saturday, with a long post-event adventure for those who purchase tickets.

To conclude, Sunday could have had something more different than Arceus. Suspects are the movie sequel Detective Pikachu and the curious Pokémon Sleep. Both projects were announced in May 2019, but since then no one knows more about them.
