Tencent keeps putting his hand on everything he can, and this time it’s his turn to the Swedish developer Fatsharkdeveloper of the known Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Tencent claims 36% of Fatshark’s participation, as it has stated that investment will strengthen its position as an independent developer and help facilitate future growth. The volume of operations has increased to $ 56 million, according to the Swedish media DI Digital.
“Our compliments announce that Tencent has decided to invest in Fatshark,” said CEO Martin Wahlund.
“Tencent is known for investing in market-leading companies. With the investment, Fatshark is in a strong position to continue to grow while maintaining independence. Our unchanged mission will be to bring high quality games to our fans all over the world ”.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has already reached over two million players since its launch on March 8, 2018 and is a first-person cooperative multiplayer game where users can choose different character classes to fight hordes of enemies in a haunted World-based environment of Warhammer. A proposal that sees the light in a pretty quiet way and to which I have added content and validated its proposals with guarantees of enjoyment.
