Tencent buys 1C Entertainment | Eurogamer.es

1C entertainment announced which was acquired by business conglomerate Tencent.

This Polish company has developed titles like the King’s Bounty saga or IL-2 Sturmovik, in addition to publishing games like Men of War or Lovecraft Untold Stories.

Tencent will acquire all the shares of 1C Entertainment held by the matrix company (1C, based in Russia) for an amount that has not been developed and will subsequently become the majority shareholder.

Over the next six months, the name of 1C Entertainment and the rest of the subsidiaries will change to show their disconnect from the Russian matrix company 1C, but they have invested in a communicated future in this regard.

In addition to framework development and editing, 1C Entertainment counts with QLOC, a support company that has worked on ports, remasters, localization and QA of titles such as Devil May Cry, Dark Souls Remastered, Mortal Kombat, Cyberpunk 2077 or Hellblade.
