Developer Yacht Club Games, known for its work at Shovel Knight, has revealed what its new game will be. My name is The Hollower.
For the first time in the studio’s history the game has nothing to do with Shovel Knight. In its place, the protagonist is Mina, a very adorable, but also deadly character. The game visually mimics the 8-bit stages of titles such as The Legend of Zelda or Castlevania, and will accompany the protagonist on their journey to save a cursed island.
Check out what the Game Boy Color aesthetic looks like:
To support the development of the game, Yacht Club Games launched a Kickstarter campaign who has already achieved his goals in less than 24 hours.
That’s not the only news we’ve seen this week: a free update and future DLC for Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon have also been announced.
