Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, the latest games in the emblematic Pokémon series, are now exclusively available for consoles in the Nintendo Switch family. These two titles are the first RPGs in the main Pokémon series for the Nintendo Switch family, bringing us a new region to explore, new Pokémon to capture, and new ways to play.

Explore a new region. It’s time to visit Galar for the first time! Students will be able to explore this new region with a wide range of environments: ideal lands, modern cities, rugged forests and snow-capped rugged mountains.
The Dinamax and Gigamax phenomena. In the Galar region, Pokémon can be maximized, giving them a gigantic appearance during combat. This phenomenon also provokes their strength to increase and makes it harder to catch and turn. In some cases, some Pokémon can go one step further and gigamaxize. When this happens, in addition to getting a colossal size, the appearance changes and you can use some powerful moves called Gigamax moves that normal Dynamax Pokémon cannot use.
Restore the Silvestre area. The Silvestre area is a large lighthouse located in Galar that connects some of its towns. In it, there is a large selection of Pokémon salvage against those who fight and those who attack. The Pokémon that appear in this area and the situations in which the trainers may encounter them may change according to the atmospheric weather of the game.
A force to face Dinamax Incursiones. In the Silvestre area, coaches can participate in a new type of match, called Dynamax Incursions. These are some exciting and epic multiplayer battles where up to four trainers can form a team to capture a Dynamax Pokémon that can be rescued.
The very first new Pokémon companion. Trainers will begin their adventure with one of these three Pokémon: Grookey, the Planta-type Chimping Pokémon; Scorbunny, Fire-type Pokémon Cone or Sobble, Water-type Pokémon Acuartija.
We have many new Pokémon to discover. The Galar region constitutes a unique ecosystem with which its inhabitants coexist. For example, Wooloo, Pokémon Oveja, supply wool for various products, and Gossifleur, Pokémon Adornofloral of the plant type, produces pollen used in medicine. New legendary Pokémon. The Galar region is home to two mysterious legendary Pokémon: Zacian and Zamazenta. Zacian has a sword in his mouth, which he uses to attack with great elegance, and Zamazenta uses his body, covered by a shield, to defend almost any attack and to confront his opponents with his majestic movements.
Relax in Poké Campamento. Besides combat, there are other ways to train Pokémon and tighten them, such as Poké Camp. You can camp in almost any place to make a good rat with Pokémon. There will be more toys to play with, you can cook and enjoy different varieties of curry (Galar’s most popular dish), and even visit other players’ camps.

To celebrate the launch of the games, coaches from today can sign up for the first tournament on the official line of Pokémon sword y Pokémon Shield: ¡Galar: the beginning! The register will be open from Friday 15 November at 00:00 (UTC) to Thursday, December 5 at. 23:59 (UTC). The format of the tournament will be Individual Combat, which starts on Friday 6 December at 00:00 (UTC) and lasts until Sunday, December 8 at. 23:59 (UTC). More information here.
