PlatinumGames CEO Apologizes for Closing Babylon’s Fall

Atsushi Inaba, CEO of PlatinumGames, responded to an interview with the overseas site VGC and apologized for the decision to terminate the service of “Babylon’s Fall” at the end of February 2023. On top of that, he indicated that he would continue to make live service games in the future.

・The only thing PlatinumGames can say about the termination of Babylon’s Fall is that this unfortunate ending may have disappointed and angered dedicated players and fans.As game developers, we are very sorry for disappointing our fans.

・As a developer, it’s not very pleasing to let players feel emotions other than fun and fun with their own work.

I have learned a lot from this experience,There are no changes to future plans or outlook for live service games.Live service games are definitely what we want to do and we are working hard to move forward
