Perfect Dark director leaves The Initiative

Perfect Dark director Dan Neuburger has reportedly quit his job at The Initiative.

According to his profile on LinkedIn, Neuburger left the Microsoft real estate study last month after three years and eight months on the job. He previously worked at Crystal Dynamics, which curiously is the study that is currently developing the new Perfect Dark alongside The Initiative.

Right now Neuburger’s new destiny is unfolding and The Initiative seems to have revealed who will be supporting him.

It is the second most important developer to leave the Perfect Dark team in the last twelve months. Almost a year ago, Drew Murray, its design director, left The Initiative to return to his former company, Insomniac Games.

I respect the new Perfect Dark, I know very little about it. A brief teaser only aired during The Game Awards in December 2020, and since then we haven’t heard much news about it, other than that Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider, Marvel’s Avengers) co- were developing the game together at The Initiative, one of Xbox Game Studios’ in-house studios.
