Nintendo Switch Sports – free testing schedule and how to participate in the Switch Sports test

The Switch Sports online trial will be available this weekend for anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

It’s basically a beta before launch on April 29 and will let you play Bolos, Tennis, and Chambara against random players online.

There will be a maximum of five sessions over the weekend, so everyone should have time to play regardless of their time zone.

Nintendo Switch Sports Online Testing Schedule

The Switch Sports online trial will be available in five sessions over one weekend.

This takes into account that you can only participate if you have requested access (you can see how in the next section 9 and have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.


Here are the dates and times for Nintendo Switch Sports online testing (one hour less in the Canary Islands):

Saturday February 19

  • 04:00 – 04:45 (Peninsular Spain and Continental Europe)
  • 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. (Peninsular Spain and Continental Europe)
  • 8:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. (Peninsular Spain and Continental Europe)

Sunday February 20

  • 04:00 – 04:45 (Peninsular Spain and Continental Europe)
  • 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. (Peninsular Spain and Continental Europe)

Nintendo has indicated that these times could be changed or canceled if there is a problem.

How to Take the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Test

To access the Switch Sports online test, you will need to register through the My Nintendo site. Each region has a separate website:

Once you are logged into your account, you can run a code in the eShop. Although you are associated with the My Nintendo Rewards website, you will not need Platinum or Gold Points, if you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership you can continue.

Take into account that you will not be able to access the test with a Nintendo Switch Lite because motion controls are required.

What can I try in the Nintendo Switch Sports online test?

The Switch Sports online test focuses on three games: Bowls, Tennis and Chambara.

In three cases, you will be playing against random people; you will not be able to play against other friends who are taking the test.




Remember that test data cannot be transferred to the final game.

On the other hand, if you play, it is taken into account for Nintendo to publicly share the information of the test online, in particular screenshots or videos of the game on social networks.
