Netflix’s Resident Evil series kicks off in July

The Netflix-produced real-time series Resident Evil will launch on the popular streaming service on July 14.

From there, we know it will be surrounded by two separate timelines, one before the zombie apocalypse and another after. In the first, the adventures of Jade and Billie Wesker will be told, who suspect that something hasn’t happened in Raccoon City yet. The second, which will resume the action in 2036, will be the main protagonist of Jade, while intending to survive in a world dominated by zombies.

In promotional material, Netflix says that “in this absolute carnicer, Jade is dogged by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s extreme ties to the Umbrella Corporation, and most importantly, by what happened to her sister, Billie.” .

The series will have eight episodes and was produced by Andrew Dabb, known for his work as producer and director of Supernatural. Lance Reddick (The Wire, Fringe) will play Albert Wesker, while Tamara Smart and Siena Agudong will play theirs with their daughters, Billie and Jade. The other actors who will appear in the series are Ella Balinska or Adeline Rudolph.
