Netflix has announced the release of a computer-animated film based on one of Ubisoft’s most popular characters.
Rabbids Invasion Special: Mission to Mars will arrive on the popular streaming service around February 18 and will be one hour long. It explains the story of a mission to make a bad habitat, with the usual tone of humor of Rabbids.
This project is more or less a continuation of the four seasons of the animated series, and has no connection with the Les Lapins Crétins film project that the French company has been preparing since 2014.
The last thing that happened to him, in December 2019 is that Ubisoft and Lionsgate had contracted Robot Chicken execs Matt Senreich, Tom Sheppard and Zeb Wells to write the script. Since then, nothing more is known.
In reference to video games, Ubisoft continues to work on Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, which should be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch on a fixed date by 2022.
