NetEase has announced the founding of new studio Nagoshi Studio, led by the creator of the Yakuza saga.
Toshihiro Nagoshi, who announced his departure from Sega’s Ryu Ga Gotoku studio last October, will be accompanied by several industry veterans, such as Daisuke Sato (producer), Kazuki Hosokawa, Naoki Someya and Toshihiro Ando (actors), Koji Tokieda (programmer), Masao Shirosaki (game designer), Mitsunori Fujimoto (engineer) and Taichi Ushioda (director).
Segun explains himself in the new web manager“el Nagoshi Studio is given full authority to administer and create the kinds of games it likes, with the support of NetEase Games. The team will focus on developing high-quality games for consoles, which will be released in the whole world”.

No information, for the moment, on the projects on which Nagoshi’s new studio is working. Meanwhile, Ryu Ga Gotoku studio is still working on the eighth main installment of the Yakuza saga and a new IP.
