Although not specified, this poor start probably depends on two factors. The first is the bad reputation of Marvel’s Avengers, a title far inferior to Guardians of the Galaxy that left a bad taste with fans and gamers. The second is a problem inherited from the previous game: that the license allows them to use characters, very well known after their presence in the MCU, but not the appearance of actors like Chris Pratt or Zoe Saldana.
Also, it should be noted that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was released in October 2021, a collection of important releases such as Far Cry 6, Metroid Dread or Back 4 Blood, among others.
