The first-person action and terror experience of Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Softworks, Ghostwire: Tokyo, was recently launched on PS5 and PC with a rather positive critical reception. In fact, our very own Andrew McMahon was very impressed with his 4.5 / 5 review and concluded: “[Ghostwire: Tokyo] is a mandatory game for anyone who loves action and adventure, including with some small ingenious design options for its structure ”. But what if you’re still using a PS4 and have not had the opportunity to try Sony’s ingenious next generation system? In this guide we will answer the question: Is Ghostwire: Tokyo coming to PS4?? So let’s get straight to the point.
Is Ghostwire: Tokyo coming to PS4?
Lamento will be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like Ghostwire: Tokyo is not coming to PS4. Do not miss messenger!
When Bethesda announced the game at E3 in 2019, it was confirmed that it would be a launch for PC and PS5. In fact, the Japanese study described the game as an “exclusive to the PS5 console”, meaning that it will only be launched on that console.
Since then, and following the acquisition of the editor by Microsoft, we assume that the title will be an exclusive chronometer for the PS5, which means that at some point in the future it is likely that the game will be launched on Xbox systems.
Not surprisingly, as well as Deathloop, which was also an exclusive to the PS5 console released by Bethesda, there are currently no indications that it will come to Sony’s last generation system.
Why is Ghostwire: Tokyo not coming to PS4?
It’s likely that a next generation game like Ghostwire: Tokyo will have a hard time running on last generation hardware like PS4. In the latter case, the game evolved taking into account the architecture of the PS5, so transferring it to the PS4 could result in a setback for the development team.
By the way, this does not mean that a version of the game for PS4 is completely unlocked. If we hear new details about a PS4 launch for Ghostwire: Tokyo, we’ll be sure to update this release.
