The current phase four of the MCU has brought us many great movies and new characters. But what happened to the Netflix series that started the fashion show? We are here to answer if Daredevil is in MCU.
Is Daredevil in the MCU?
Spoiler alert: there are recent MCU property spoilers up front.
Yes, it looks like Daredevil is actually part of MCU. When Daredevil debuted in 2015, Verá broke into Netflix, producing three other programs that would share a universe. With the final season of 2018 and the cancellation announced a month later, fans were wondering (and worried) about the future of Charlie Cox’s ingenious interpretation of the man without fear. This concern also considered Marvel’s insinuations of a return.
Without a doubt, 2021 fortunately lives on two important revelations that seem to confirm that Daredevil is now definitely part of the MCU.
The first was Vincent D’Onofrio’s appearance as Wilson Fish in the Hawkeye Disney + series. Vincent D’Onofrio himself confirmed that he was dealing with the same person. The second biggest confirmation was when Charlie Cox appeared as Matt Murdock in the beginning of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in addition to showing the character’s distinctive reflections.
Nothing has been announced with firmness, but just this month, Disney + has taken charge of Marvel Netflix shows, so you could have hoped not only that Daredevil would return, but also Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Still looking to add MCU could accept Daredevil, but anything is possible with the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
