Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile – Tips and Tricks to Get Started

Before playing the game Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile, you will definitely want to know these simple but useful tips and tricks. If you have any advice, feel free to share it with us!

Things to know before playing

  • Your palace is the first thing you need to build, I remember. It feels really weird because it’s a giant white building being built before anything else, this building can support (monitor) a certain amount of farmers so it builds around 6 grains near the Nile and a bakery, so basically ( not of luxury) shops.
  • Noble mansions control several peasants after the first construction of your palace.
  • The game is actually “physical”, which means you need a certain amount of raw materials to build something, food to keep people alive, etc., similar to Banished. This game is basically banished in ancient Egypt.
  • These are the provisions of the objects. This population needs a certain amount of shops and luxury stores, this amount of groceries needs a certain amount of nobles, if you get a lot of nobles, you will start to need things like dentists, doctors and schools. The whole world needs bread.
  • The stores that produce the goods they sell do not need production buildings for luxury goods, there are some sources for them on the map, so just place stores close to these or just in a central group.
  • The monuments generate prestige, a resource that can be used to open commercial routes to make exotic things grow your city.
  • The Nile is sometimes flooded, which can destroy buildings, build things even higher, it does not matter if some choices are made.
  • The palace is better for prestige and other stalls, I forgot, but it’s easy to go as high as you can do this.
