A group of Turkish SHIB leaders called for a lot of attention in March after revealing that they had met with Mustafa Elitaş, Turkey’s economy minister and current vice-president of the AK Party, to talk about SHIB.
Given that the adoption of Shiba (and the lack of SHIB) are considered two of the most important ways to increase the price of the currency, many investors are enthusiastic about the prospect of an important politician attacking or building SHIB.
Planet Crypto spoke with those involved in the organization and assistance at the meeting to see how everything went well. (Note: the following will be translated from Turkish and edited for greater clarity)
How SHIB met with a Turkish politician
It all started with a meeting on metaverso. In January, Elitaş appeared for “the first meeting in metaverso” for its AK party using an Oculus Quest. The meeting was received with some logos on the line, especially due to the willingness of those involved to use the new technology. Here we go to the Turkish ShibArmy.
“We want our voices to be heard in Turkey,” said veterinarian Yusuf, a member of the Shiba Growth team that organized the meeting. “We will leave a comment on the meeting and we will contact him. The main support here was provided by ShibArmy.
“Then I sent him a DM and asked for a face-to-face meeting.”

After Yusuf contacted Elitaş, he visited the former minister in the assembly. “The story of the SHIB ecosystem, of our society.”
The SHIB community welcomed its Turkish colleagues to the meeting, and project manager Shytoshi Kusama shared the performance on Twitter.
Yusuf also said: “The meeting in no way discussed ‘SHIB: the official currency’ or ‘SHIB: will reinstate the Turkish lira’ or any similar theme.”
Without hesitation, Yusuf remains impressed with the adoption of SHIB in Turkey. “The Turkish community has adopted Shiba,” he said. “With the implementation of the cryptocurrency law, why not use SHIB as a payment method?”
Referring to a blog post by Shiba Inu founder Ryoshi, he says he always thinks in one sentence of the article when it comes to adoption. “Imagine a fish market supplier in Durbs accepting 330 SHI for its gold.”
After the meeting, Yusuf said he hoped to continue to be reunited with other politicians and urged the community to do the same. He returned to quote Ryoshi, reminding his title comrades that, “We are Ryoshi.”
