Gran Turismo 7 was the best-selling video game of the week in Japan

Gran Turismo 7 was the video game no longer sold last week in stores in Japan.

The Polyphony Digital driving simulator sold nearly 140,000 copies, including the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions. The new generation was the biggest seller, with 73,000 copies, followed by the previous one with 64,000.

The top spot on the list, without any restrictions, is another platform that has performed remarkably well in Japan: Triangle Strategy. Square Enix’s JRPG, exclusively for Nintendo Switch, sold over 86,000 copies in its first week.

Babylon’s Fall, meanwhile, didn’t make it into the top ten and just sold five thousand copies following sales on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

In terms of hardware, Switch has sold almost a thousand units containing three models (OLED, normal and Lite). After that there is the PlayStation 5, with some twenty-five thousand, and in third place the Xbox Series, with only one thousand and thirty.
