GameStop has created a new device to build an NFT platform and has hired more than 20 people to run it, according to a report published today by The Wall Street Journal. The platform will allow customers to buy, sell and trade NFTs of video game items, such as clothing and weapons for players’ avatars. The company had previously posted ads in those looking for engineers and other people for the team.
The American gaming store giant has been working quietly in an NFT market since May, taking a step forward in October to announce various job offers to software engineers and product marketers with Web3 and NFT experience.
