Gamescom will return to hold a physical event in its 2022 edition.
The event’s German organizers have announced Colonia’s recognition Koelnmesse will return to host the event, opening to the public August 24-28.
The physical event, which will be accompanied by a digital event like the one of the last two years, will have all the necessary health and safety measures. The organization has in fact explained that in this edition, the number of tickets that will be sold will be more limited than on other occasions.
Gamescom 2022 kicks off on August 23 with the release of Gamescom Opening Night Live. The following day, August 24, the review will be open only to industry members, trade press and content creators. Finally, from August 25 to 28, the fair will be open to the general public.
Felix Falk, Director of GAME (German Games Industry Association) said that “all Gamescom fans and associates have been looking forward to this for two years: Gamescom will eventually return to the Colonia pavilions. This year we We’re going to combine the best of both worlds: our vast digital program combined with the unparalleled physical experience of Gamescom.”
