Elden Ring has been one of the biggest recent launches in the UK, according to data from GsD Group.
This list combines physical data from GfK with digital sales from a series of publishers (Nintendo, for example, does not share its data).
Adding physical and digital, Elden Ring is the best UK launch since Call of Duty: Vanguard, boosting Horizon: Forbidden West movie sales by 2.5x and topping weeks of titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Excluding the two big names in the UK market (Call of Duty and FIFA), Elden Ring had the best launch since Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018.
68% of Elden Ring’s sales were made in digital format, in particular mainly on Xbox (85% of digital sales) and PC (73% of digital sales), while on PS4 and PS5 the percentage was close to 50 %.
32% of Elden Ring launch sales are on PS5, followed by PC (30%), Xbox (29%) and PS4 (9%).
The only top 10 launch besides Elden Ring was for Grid Legends in tenth place, with 60% of digital sales.
