The collaboration between Sony and Discord is starting to take shape. As of yesterday, PlayStation users can link their PlayStation Network accounts to their Discord accounts. In other words: currently, the feature is only available in the United States.
Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan announced the integration with Discord last May, saying he wanted to unify the two experiences by 2022. A post on the official Discord website give us more details.
By linking the Discord account to the PlayStation account, users will be able to see in their Discord profile which game is playing on their PlayStation consoles.
Additionally, PlayStation users will have the option to have their PlayStation ID appear in their Discord profiles.
The integration of Discord and PlayStation will “soon” reach the rest of the world.
