The North American study Camouflaj has announced the date of the final launch of Republique: Anniversary Edition.
The game will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, and Nintendo Switch on March 10, with a price tag of $14.99 across all platforms. In the case of Sony, it will also be possible to work with a bundle including the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR versions for $19.99.
The new edition of the original 2013 game was developed in collaboration with Darkwind Media, and has been adapted for PSVR and Switch by Skymap Games. It includes developer commentary, which will explain not only plot secrets, but also trivia and data about the development process.
In addition, the study took advantage of the announcement of the date to announce the opening of a new study in Japan, called Camouflaj Holdings. It will be directed by Matt Walker, one of the producers of Devil May Cry 5, and by Alexander O. Smith, who worked on Ori and the Will of the Wisps or the location of Final Fantasy VIII.
Walker said, “We are excited to begin a new chapter in Camouflaj’s history with the opening of Camouflaj Holdings in Japan. Our second headquarters will enhance our ability to create meaningful, high-quality games globally.” .
“The arrival of Republic: Anniversary Edition on Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation VR is a celebration of the study’s first decade. I can’t wait for gamers to experience what we mean when we make ‘meaningful games’ to discover the story of République, which I think is even more relevant today than when episode 1 first came out in 2013”.
